David’s life was not all good. At the height of his success, he neglected his relationship with God and gave in to sin. Still, when confronted with his sin, he confessed and repented of it, and God restored him. We can learn a lot from David about the sin in our own lives.
As we prepare for a time of seeking God through fasting and prayer, we must prepare ourselves spiritually. One important step in this process is to seek to get our hearts right with God through confession and repentance. We must hunger for holiness.
