The time of the Judges was a time of repeated ups and downs for the nation of Israel. We can learn from their cycle ways that we also fall into a cycle of following, falling away, and being restored to God.
The Israelites spent 40 years wandering in the desert instead of entering the Promised Land. Sometimes there are “viruses” that can get us off track and keep us wandering in circles instead of heading in the direction that God wants to take our lives.
God’s plan continues to unfold as He establishes some requirements for Him to dwell among His people: Live by a set of rules (the Ten Commandments) A place to live (the Tabernacle) A way to restore the relationship (the sacrifice system)
